Where we repair central heating
We cover Marlow and the towns we actually drive to: Bourne End, Cookham, Maidenhead, Bisham, High Wycombe and Beaconsfield — mainly SL7, SL8 and SL6. Older local systems — S-plan valves, loft cylinders, sludged radiators — are the jobs we see.
We aim to reach you the same weekday. The van carries a range of common parts; we cannot carry every part for every system. At the weekend the wholesalers are shut, so we do not take those jobs. Central heating repair FAQs
Do you aim to repair the heating the same day?
Yes. We aim to be with you the same day, Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm. Same-day depends on the diary and whether the part is on the van.
Why don’t you work weekends?
Heating wholesalers are closed at the weekend, so we cannot get parts. The van carries a range of common parts, not everything. Weekend work would often mean a second visit anyway.
How much is the call-out?
Call-out and diagnosis is £120 + VAT. After we have found the fault we give a fixed-price repair. You decide before we start the repair.
Is the repair guaranteed?
Yes. The part we fit and the problem we fix are guaranteed for 12 months. That is not a new warranty on the whole heating system.
What if you don’t have the part on the van?
We carry a range of common parts — pumps, valves and fittings we use often. If the part is not on the van we collect it from a weekday wholesaler and come back to finish. That is also why we do not take weekend jobs.
The boiler is on but the radiators are cold. Why?
That is usually the system: a seized pump, a failed zone valve, sludge or air. The boiler can be running and the house still cold. That is this page, not boiler repair.
Is this a boiler repair or a heating repair?
If the fault is inside the appliance — ignition, PCB, diverter, boiler pressure — it is gas boiler repair. If the house is cold because of pumps, valves or radiators, it is central heating repair. If you are not sure, book a diagnosis here and we will tell you which it is.
Will you always try to repair rather than replace?
Yes. We are always happy to repair. If the pump, valves or boiler are obsolete, parts are scarce, or the repair is uneconomical, we will explain that and quote a replacement where it is the honest job.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Jericos Gas Safe number is 571340. The engineer’s Gas Safe ID is shown on arrival. We do not put scanned certificates on the website — the live register number is what matters.
Do you power flush?
Yes, when sludge is blocking circulation. We say so after diagnosis, not as a default upsell.
