Vaillant has been named a Which? Recommended Brand for gas boilers. In the latest survey it sat at the top of that table, with five stars for reliability and five stars for what heating engineers said about the brand.
Which? asked boiler owners about faults and asked engineers about build quality, servicing and parts. That is more use than a manufacturer advert. It is still a snapshot of one survey year, not a promise that every ecoTEC in a Marlow airing cupboard will be fault-free.
We fit and service Vaillant gas boilers as well as Worcester, Ideal, Baxi and others. When a customer asks “Worcester or Vaillant?”, the honest answer is that both are solid mid-to-premium gas boilers if they are sized and installed properly and serviced every year. Which? is one data point. The other is what we see on jobs: parts availability, how easy the case is to work on, and whether last year’s service was done.
A Which? badge does not keep a guarantee alive. The annual Gas Safe service does. If you already have a Vaillant and it is locking out or noisy, we can look at repair versus replacement on the visit rather than on a league table.
